Smoky Valley schools will be IN SESSION on Thursday, Feb 20.

Monday night we recognize two of our coaches who were recently honored by the Kansas Cross Country Track and Field Coaches Association. These two coaches were recognized by their peers for their outstanding work with our Track and Field Team. There is no better honor than to be recognized by your peers.
Coach Nelson is the Assistant Track and Field Coach of the Year for Jumps. Coach Nelson has coached track for 29 years, 25 years at Smoky Valley. During her time here at Smoky Valley she has coached many state qualifiers and state champions in the jumps and has had athletes break school records in the long jump, triple jump, and high jump. Congratulations Coach Nelson.
Coach Vogel is the 2024 3A Girls Track and Field Coach of the Year. Coach Vogel has coached track and field for 17 years, 4 years here at Smoky Valley. Last season there were school records broken in the 100m dash, 3200m run, the long jump and the triple jump. Coach Vogel helps with the sprints, relays, and pole vault. Congratulations, Coach Vogel.

The Smoky Valley USD 400 Board of Education has initiated the process of renewing and updating their long-range vision and strategic plan.
The following survey is part of the process and is based upon the feedback of a Community Planning Committee that was engaged to provide input regarding the district's strengths and areas for growth.
All USD 400 parents and patrons are encouraged to provide feedback and input as the Smoky Valley USD 400 Board and staff work to update the strategic plan for the next five years.
