This is my 12th year as a teacher!
I am originally from Ohio and moved to Kansas just before starting my 9th grade year. After graduating from high school, I attended Kansas State University where I earned my degree in Biology. My academic journey then took me to San Antonio, TX for graduate school. Living in Texas was an adventure filled with memorable experiences and incredible people. Eventually, I returned to Kansas, where I began my career as a high school science teacher. In 2022, I joined the team at SVVCS as the 9-12 Science Teacher. Teaching is my passion, and I am dedicated to supporting my students academically while preparing them for success in their lives beyond high school. On the personal side, my spouse and I have two wonderful children: a 2-year-old son and a 12-year-old daughter. As a family, we love riding our bikes and enjoying board game and movie nights together. This past summer was particularly eventful as we traveled to visit family, spent time at the pool, and moved into a new home.
"Here at SVVCS I am inspired by our students' growth, both academically and personally. It is an honor to be part of our students' journey to success as they overcome obstacles and meet their goals."
