I am originally from WaKeeney, which is where I live now. I grew up on a generational farm and really cherish that experience and the countless memories. I have a large extended family and I have always had the great fortune of spending so much quality time with them. My parents instilled the value of education in me at a young age and that carried through. I went on the Bethany College in Lindsborg and pursued Secondary Education. Through my teenage years and early 20's I made it my mission to travel and see as much of the world as possible. I have been to 38 states and 13 countries. This goes hand in hand with my love for history, geography, cultures, FOODS, and all social sciences. I taught and coached tennis at Hesston High School for five years and loved every second of it. Then, March of 2020, a memorable time for all of us, my now husband and I started dating. He had just moved back to WaKeeney, our hometown. I eventually moved back home too; I then taught and coached at my alma mater Trego Community High School. We got engaged at the same place my grandparents did and were married in July 2022. My husband and I have totally restored our 120 year old house. Our home and property projects are still on going and we love it! Finally, July of 2023 we welcomed our baby girl, Tabea, to the world. I then started work at SVVCS in August of 2023. This holiday season we will be welcoming a new baby into our family! I continue to coach tennis at TCHS and am learning my role as a mother. I sure love getting to be a teacher, coach, wife, and mom all simultaneously.

Ultimately students inspire me. It it really a special front row seat I have in watching adolescent kids grow. It may be big things or maybe just small things, but when a students makes it over hurdles and can be proud of themselves, I feel really inspired. I am really proud to get to be a part of it.
