CHUMS Mentoring Program

The CHUMS program is designed to provide academic, social, and emotional support for students.  Soderstrom students in the CHUMS program are matched one-on-one with volunteer students from Bethany College and Smoky Valley High School.

CHUMS meets after school at Soderstrom on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30.  The first 50 minutes are spent working on academics, such as homework, studying for tests, practicing basic skills, etc.  The last 10 minutes are spent doing something fun such as shooting baskets, reading a book, or swinging on the swings.

Director of the program is Mrs. Jodie Norberg and Assistant Director is Mrs. Elizabeth Spencer.
