Vision_Tek is a technology initiative developed by Smoky Valley USD400 to provide community access to technology skills while expanding learning opportunities for Smoky Valley students. Vision_Tek is open to all students through a series of courses that teach skills in the use of software, basic networking, computer maintenance, and presentation skills.
As part of their class work, Smoky Valley students provide workshops, one-to-one instruction, basic troubleshooting, and general technology assistance for community members. Class time will also provide students with the time and tools to explore new directions in technology. The Vision_Tek program is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of third and fourth year Information Technology students with support from district and building level staff.
The Vision_Tek Club is doing an on going Recycling Fundraiser so they can raise money for equipment, software and competitions for the programs of the Vision_Tek.
